How it works

Our 5-step process

  1. 1

    Inspect & fibre test

We walk the rooms with you, note stains and traffic lanes, check whether the carpet is wool or synthetic, and confirm the price before starting.

  2. 2

    Dry vacuum

A thorough pre-vacuum lifts the dry soil, sand and hair first. Skipping this step is why some cleans leave carpet looking grey.

  3. 3

    Pre-spray & agitate

A cleaning solution matched to the fibre is sprayed on and worked into the pile to loosen soil; stains and pet areas are treated separately.

  4. 4

    Hot water extraction

Hot water is rinsed through the pile under pressure while a powerful vacuum pulls the water, soil and solution straight back out.

  5. 5

    Groom, protect & dry

The pile is groomed so it dries evenly, optional Scotchgard or deodoriser goes on, and we set the room up to dry in 4 to 8 hours.

What we clean

If it is carpet on a floor, we can almost certainly clean it. Wool or synthetic, one bedroom or a whole office.

Carpet cleaning in Adelaide

Carpet cleaners in Adelaide: how a proper clean works and what it costs

Most carpet that looks past saving is not worn out, just dirty. Soil tracked in from outside, body oils, food, pets and years of foot traffic settle into the pile until the hallway goes grey, the bedrooms look dull and the house starts to smell faintly of the dog. A proper professional clean lifts that build-up from the base of the pile, which a vacuum cleaner, a supermarket spray or a hired machine with a weak vacuum cannot do.

Every job starts with a walk-through. We check whether the carpet is wool or synthetic, note the stains and traffic lanes, and confirm the price before anything is switched on. Then the carpet is dry vacuumed, pre-sprayed with a solution matched to the fibre, and cleaned with hot water extraction, the method most carpet makers recommend: hot water rinses the pile while a powerful vacuum pulls the water and soil straight back out. Pet urine and stains are treated separately first, because urine, red wine, coffee and ink each need different chemistry.

Questions

Straight answers

How much does carpet cleaning cost in Adelaide?

Our published starting prices are $45 per bedroom or standard room (up to 14 m²), $65 for a lounge or open-plan living area, $20 for a hallway and $45 per flight of stairs, with a $120 minimum booking. End of lease packages start at $169 for a 2-bedroom home. The final price is confirmed on inspection before we start, and there are no hidden fees.

How long does carpet take to dry after steam cleaning?

Usually 4 to 8 hours. Hot water extraction pulls most of the moisture back out during the clean, and good airflow (open windows, ceiling fans, air conditioning on dry mode) speeds it up. Thick wool and cool, damp winter days take longer than synthetic carpet on a warm day. You can walk on it in socks while it finishes drying.

What is hot water extraction, and is it the same as steam cleaning?

They are the same service in everyday language. Carpet is vacuumed, pre-sprayed with a cleaning solution that loosens the soil, then rinsed with hot water under pressure while a powerful vacuum extracts the water and dirt together. It is the method most carpet manufacturers recommend for a deep clean.

Can you get pet urine and the smell out of carpet?

In most cases, yes. Urine soaks through the pile into the backing and underlay, so a surface clean alone does not fix the smell. We treat affected areas with an enzyme solution that breaks the urine down, then extract. Old, repeated accidents that have reached the underlay can need a second treatment, and we tell you that honestly on inspection.

Do you do end of lease carpet cleaning?

Yes, for tenants and property managers. You get a dated, itemised receipt that names the property and the rooms cleaned, which is what most agents ask for at the final inspection. We clean to a professional standard but do not promise the outcome of your bond claim: that is between you, the agent and the condition report.

Will steam cleaning damage wool carpet?

Not when it is done properly. Wool needs a wool-safe, near-neutral cleaning solution, less water, and thorough extraction so it does not stay wet. We check the fibre before we start and adjust the method. Over-wetting is what causes browning and shrinkage, so we avoid it rather than avoiding wool.

What counts as a room?

A bedroom, study or dining room up to about 14 m² is one room. A lounge or open-plan living area over 14 m² is priced as a living area. Hallways and each flight of stairs are priced separately. Walk-in robes are included with the bedroom. If you are unsure, describe the layout in the quote form and we will price it for you.

Do you service my suburb?

We cover all of metropolitan Adelaide, north to Gawler, south to Aldinga and everywhere in between. If your suburb is not listed, send a quote request through the form and we will confirm.
